Literacy Self Assessment For Newcomers
This Self-Assessment is an excellent way for newcomers to assess their own English as a Second Language (ESL) literacy skills. What I find most interesting about the linked self- assessment tool is it takes in to account the difference between being able to write, hear, and speak a language.
There are self-assessment tests for speaking and listening to compliment the usual reading tests, in order to give you the best understanding of where you could use improvement. It is encouraging to see that registration is free and only required a name, password, and email address. The one drawback to this assessment tool is; there is no pause button during the test so please make sure you have 1he (60 min.) to finish the test and get the most out of the assessment process.
