The Literacy Group is a Kitchener / Waterloo based organization who is dedicated to developing and delivering literacy programs for people in the area. The Literacy Group’s mission, vision, and values are as follows;
The Literacy Group develops and delivers accessible and effective literacy programs for adults in the Waterloo Region.
Every person in the Waterloo Region has access to the resources they need to build skills that will empower them to engage fully in their community.

Depression: The Misunderstood Epidemic
Depression is one of the most common mental illnesses. According to Statistics Canada, about 11 per cent of Canadians aged 15 to 24 experiences depression at some point in their lives. Many don't get the help that they need because of stigma and lack of services available. Depression: The Misunderstood Epidemic is a documentary that features real stories and real people.
