      Hi Laura,

      Great question!

Considering the fast-paced nature of the world today, I think date nights are a fantastic way to stay connected to your partner amidst all the chaos that work, family, social life, and parenthood can bring. Date nights can be difficult to schedule because of all of these things, but I definitely do believe that they can work wonders and are worth the trouble of fitting in to your schedule in order to stay balanced in your relationship.

Date nights don’t have to be expensive or extravagant, either. They can consist of an hour walk together in the neighbourhood, catching up and touching base with each other. It could be locking yourselves in the basement to watch a movie together. Or it could mean booking a night at a hotel or Air BNB and spending a night on the town together. Scheduling one night every week or every two weeks to check-in with each other and spend quality, dedicated time together is a great tool to help with the health and longevity of any relationship.
