Do you know what you want to do for a living? Do you know what your strengths are? The University of Toronto has put together a self-assessment tool to help you figure that out.
The Online Self-Assessment package covers 4 areas in an attempt to find the best career to fit who you are.
- Skills – The learned ability to do something well.
- Personal Qualities – Characteristics & needs that drive your behaviour
- Interests – Activities and things you like to do, learn about and talk about
- Values – Rewards, satisfaction and desirable qualities you seek in your occupation
It is recommended by the University of Toronto that you set aside between 15 minutes and 1.5 hours.
It is also recommended to complete the assessment survey of all four areas in one sitting if possible.
