How can I help your family today?

Therapy is a way of getting unstuck. We don’t need therapy every time we’re stuck, of course, but when we’ve exhausted our best ideas and initiatives only to find ourselves no further ahead, looking for competent help makes sense. Every kind of problem carries important information, information about what feels wrong, yes, but also about what might feel right. That’s obvious when we see a picture hanging crooked on a wall, but less obvious when we can’t seem to right ourselves.

Starting where you are, we will identify the sort of therapy that makes sense for you. Whether that is Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, or Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, your own strengths, values, and goals will guide our work together.

My private practice is located in the Centre for MindBody Health in midtown Toronto (on Eglinton, between Yonge and Avenue). I am also on Faculty at the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in downtown Toronto, where I lead groups in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy.

    One review on “Ian Singer”

    1. A lot of experience in merrital conflict and resolution.

Before creating Somos or Kinjunxion, I had been thinking of developing a Marital Workshop where married individuals would be exposed to the 2 sides of divorce: What if we divorce, or what if we don’t. Are we ever going to make it work, or are we not. It is my believe that many people hung in the decision for too long hurting themselves, their partners an above all, their kids.

Ian liked the concept from the start and offered to assist in developing and delivering the workshops however, he was instrumental in helping me understand how this might be better delivered as a webinar where people could take it in the privacy of their homes, and not a workshop where people had to come into a space where they could feel vulnerable.

The other important point he shared with me was that as a single workshop, it would not be easy to market. He suggested to promoted it as one of many products in a platform. This is where my focused changed from a “Single Marital Workshop” to the Kinjunxion “Family Services Platform”. Now that Kinjunxion is getting launch, I hope to come back to Ian one day, so we can make this webinar available trough Kinjunxion, to marriages in distress one day : )
