Death & Grief - Older Adults

Recovering from the death of a loved one, friend or family member can take time. Feelings such as profound sadness, anger, confusion, loneliness, and despair are common, however, the intensity of these feelings or the way in which one copes with them can vary greatly from person to person. Some may feel relief that the deceased is no longer suffering. Others may experience guilt or regret with regards to a certain aspect of the relationship they may have had with the individual who has passed. The strength of feelings can be surprising, either in their intensity, or their mildness, and leave one feeling unsure of how to cope. Losing a family member is never easy, regardless of the circumstances. If you are looking for resources or professional help to assist you in the grieving process, we are here to help.

You are not alone. Connect with others who may be going through the same thing, find professional help and resources near you. The Kinjunxion community is here to help.
