Family Reunification

Canadian citizens and permanent residents, who are 18 years of age or older, can sponsor certain relatives who may wish to join them in Canada. They must also become permanent residents in order to live and work in Canada. Refugee and immigrant families may be separated for long periods of time, due to the circumstances in which a person chose to flee their own country. Refugees can also apply to bring their immediate family members to Canada for reunification. The processes and procedures to do so fall under Immigration and Citizenship. There are many resources, both private and public, that can provide information and assistance in family reunification. If you are looking for resources on how to apply for family sponsorship or reunification, the costs, wait times, or application process involved, we have many sources of support and information. You are not alone. Connect with others who may be going through the same thing, find professional help and resources near you. The Kinjunxion community is here to help.
